NBC Outside Program

Educational programming is the core mission of Native Bird Connections

The birds and people of Native Bird Connections join to offer experiences that go beyond the ordinary. From school programs tailored to the national standards to presentations for seniors, scouts and special interest groups, we strive to immerse the audience in an intimate view of a wild bird's behavior, life choices and needs. Regardless of age, participants find themselves personally connecting with a living being through empathy and awe, emerging inspired.

An After-School Enrichment Program

We are privileged to share our educational endeavors with wild birds as our partners. Our birds are victims of permanent physical or psychological damage rendering them unable to survive in the wild. We have asked them to accept captivity within a realm of respect and trust, acknowledging fully their loss of a wild life while challenging them to an active role as ambassadors and teachers. 

Our school programs are aligned with the current California State Standards for grades K-12.

We not only bring in Live Non-releasable wild birds, but also have touchable artifacts that include feet, feathers, wings and skulls of various birds.

Fees: Programs are available for school groups, assemblies, company gatherings, and any type of event. Please call (925)963-9753 for a quote.

Supervision: A teacher or designated adult must attend the presentation as an active participant and is responsible for the behavior of the audience.
